Blink cameras offer a convenient way to monitor your home and add an extra layer of security for your property. They are affordable, look slick, and are extremely convenient for almost anywhere.
So, you’re probably wondering whether you can have a bunch of these devices scattered around your home. Well, you can. Blink allows you to set up a maximum of ten cameras under one Sync module. We’ll explain what this means and how to set everything up below.
Can You Have Multiple Blink Cameras On One Sync Module?
One Sync module allows you to connect up to ten Blink cameras which can be accessed remotely and seen from the smartphone app. There are a few guidelines that you must follow in this case. When trying to set up several cameras on one Sync module, you must make sure that those cameras are at the same location. The range limit is 100ft. This means that all of the cameras must be within this range in order to function properly and connect to the same Sync module.
If, on the other hand, you want to install several cameras at another location, you will have to set up another Sync module and connect them separately. All Sync modules can support up to ten Blink cameras given that the range limit of 100ft. isn’t exceeded.
How Can I Access Multiple Blink Systems from One Account?
Managing each camera from your account is fairly easy. As we mentioned, one account, or Sync module, can give you access to a maximum of ten cameras. In order to navigate with each, you have to access your account and tap on the camera name at the top navigation panel to switch between the camera views.
Once you tap on the name of one of the cameras, your screen will immediately switch to its view. If you want to get access to additional Blink systems, all you have to do is swipe to the left. This will show you more options to choose from and start viewing.
How to Add an Additional Camera to a Blink Sync Module?
Adding a new blink camera to an already existing system is very easy. Simply open the Blink app on your phone, access your Sync module, and click on the plus (“+”) icon to add another camera. You can add new cameras as long as you don’t exceed the limit of up to a total of 10 cameras.
You can also add additional systems from your Blink app when you want to set up another Sync module that would also support another ten cameras. To do this, you simply open the app, open the menu by clicking at the top section of the screen, and click on “Add a new System”.
Then, when you’re setting up the new camera you will be required to enter a serial number. You can find this serial number by opening the back cover of the camera and copying it from the sticker placed between the batteries. Instead of entering the serial number manually, you can also quickly scan the QR code and speed up the process.
