The Tapo C225 is one such featured-packed security camera that offers smart features such as privacy mode, AI object detection, motion tracking, night vision and alarm mode. The camera is pretty easy to set up and you can get it working within a couple of minutes.

The first thing that you need to do is plug in the power adapter and connect it to the camera. Now in order to set up your camera, you need to download the Tapo app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store respectively.

Once the app is installed, create a TP-Link account if you don’t already have one or simply sign into an existing account. Launch the Tapo app and click on the + icon to add a new device.

Select the Tapo C225 from the list and wait for 30 seconds to check whether the LED indicator is blinking red and green.

Now you need to connect your smartphone or tablet to the Wi-Fi network of the Tapo Device. Open the Settings app and select the “Tapo_XXX” Wi-Fi network from the list where the XXX represents the last four digits of the MAC address of the Tapo device.

After you are connected to the network, the camera will automatically scan for nearby devices and find the Tapo device. It’s time to connect the Tapo camera to your home’s Wi-Fi network so you need to enter the correct credentials and password for the network.

Wait for the camera to connect to the network and then select a suitable name and location so you can easily identify them in the future.
