TP Link ax3000: how to set up

The first thing that you need to do after taking the router out of the box is to place it horizontally and point the antennas vertically for better coverage.

Next, if you have an existing modem in place then you should turn it off and remove its battery. Plug in the ethernet cable at the back of the modem and then connect the other end of the ethernet cable to the WAN port of the router.

Power on the modem and the router, and check the LED lights to see whether the connection is working or not. Download the Tether app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your smartphone and then log in to the app using your TP-Link account.

Click on the + button and then navigate to Router->Wireless Router to follow the instructions on the screen. Now go to the Wi-Fi section in the Settings app and look for the Wi-Fi network that corresponds with the default SSID of the router.

You can manually enter a MAC address or set it automatically according to your preferences. Set an SSID and password for the network and you are good to go.
