They don’t exactly display the name and model of the camera on the outside. How to Find Out Which Arlo Camera You Have
If you have only one Arlo camera in your home, then you can simply check the box it came in when you purchased the camera. But, if you don’t have that or if you have multiple cameras around your home, you can try checking inside the Arlo app.
Check the Arlo App
The process is simple. First, you have to open the Arlo app on your phone. Then, go to Settings, and find the My Devices list. From there, the process is only simple if you’ve named your cameras accordingly when you first installed them. This means that you’ve given each camera a name based on where it is positioned in your home. For example, one camera is named “Front Doorway Cam”, another is named “Living Room Cam”, and so on.
If that’s the case, then the next thing you can do is click on the camera you want to learn more about. Let’s say you want to know what type of Arlo camera your Front Doorway Cam is. Click on it and scroll down until you find the exact name and model of this device. You can do this for each Arlo device that is present in your Arlo app.
Look At the Camera Bezel
Another option is to check the physical appearance of the cameras. There is a noticeable difference between a few of the cameras that Arlo provides. This method applies to the Arlo Pro and the Arlo Pro 2.
If you look at the bezel of the Arlo Pro camera, it is always colored black. On the other hand, the bezel of the Arlo Pro 2 is always white. This way, you can distinguish these two models by Arlo. However, the downside here is that you can only distinguish these two types of Arlo cameras by using this method. Still, it’s a fast and easy way to determine whether you have an Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 camera.
